We confirm no adverse relationship with the opposing party, remediator or insurer before accepting the engagement.

  2. 2

    Independent field investigation

Site inspection, moisture mapping, thermal imaging and — when indicated — accredited-lab sampling. Chain of custody documented throughout.

    Step 03

    Record review

Prior inspection reports, remediation protocols, invoices, weather data, permit history and communications are reviewed against published standards.

FAQs

Litigation Support — common questions

Do you take cases for both plaintiffs and defendants?

Yes. We accept engagements from either side — homeowner, insurer, contractor, HOA or manager — provided a conflict check clears. Our opinions do not change with who signs the retainer.

Will you testify at deposition and trial?

Yes. John P. Lapotaire, CIEC has testified in Florida state and federal courts on mold, IAQ and water-intrusion matters since 2010.

Can you review another consultant's report without a site visit?

Yes — record and standards review is a common early engagement. We will tell you plainly if a site inspection is needed before we can offer opinions to a reasonable degree of professional certainty.

What standards do your opinions rely on?

ASTM D-7338, IICRC S520, IICRC S530 (John is Chair of the S530 Committee), ANSI/IICRC S500 for water damage, and ANSI/ASHRAE 62.1 / 62.2 for ventilation.
